  3.           THE ACTION VERBS

  5.                The  PC-Style  Lexicon also includes a list  of  action
  6.           verbs.    These words are used to determine how much "punch"
  7.           your writing has.  The Lexicon contains these action verbs:

  9.                     BEAR     DO       KEEP    SET      TAKE
  10.                     BLOW     DRAW     LAY     SHAKE    TALK
  11.                     BREAK    DRIVE    LET     SHOW     TEAR
  12.                     BRING    DROP     LOOK    SKIP     THROW
  13.                     CALL     FALL     MAKE    SLIP     TIE
  14.                     CARRY    GET      PICK    SPLIT    TOUCH
  15.                     CAST     GIVE     PULL    STAND    TURN
  16.                     CATCH    GO       PUSH    STAY     WALK
  17.                     COME     HANG     PUT     STICK    WEAR
  18.                     CUT      HOLD     RUN     STRIKE   WORK

  20.                As with the personal words in the Lexicon,  you can add
  21.           or delete action verbs.  There are a few guidelines you need
  22.           to follow, which are outlined in ADDING MORE WORDS.
